Oak jacket made from vintage sacks

Description

Here's one that you certainly won't find on the High Street. Jacket made from several old sacks that were found in a barn in Yorkshire, from the 1960s or 70s. Each sack has a different texture and different colour - they have been thoroughly washed. The jacket design is based on an old workwear one we found, so it is loose and comfortable. The jacket's facings and inner collar are made from a vintage flour sack which has been hand-darned; the jacket is lined with Irish linen (sleeves are lined in silk). The jacket is closed with three vintage buttons.
